Aw shucks! Yer Makin’ Me Blush!

I haven’t been taking the blogging awards that are circulating very seriously. I have been blogging for such a short time that when Catherine over at Atypical60 nominated me for The Sunshine Blogger Award, I felt a little like someone on the pee-wee soccer team getting a participation trophy.

But Catherine is a very cool lady whose blog always makes me smile and sometimes laugh out loud, so I’ll play this time. Seriously, check out her blog!

These are the questions she posed:

What is your favorite movie? Why?

This is tough because I like so many different genres. I’ll go with a silly one: Valley Girl from 1983. It came out during my college years and to this day if I run across it on TV I have to watch. It’s funny and sweet. It wasn’t a big hit, but it has one of the best soundtracks of all time (in my opinion!)

Fun Fact: Nicolas Cage sports the world’s weirdest chest hair pattern in Valley Girl!

If you could live anywhere else except where you currently live where would it be?

A few years ago I was lucky enough to take a trip to Glacier National Park. We stayed in West Glacier, Montana. It was absolutely beautiful. I’d leave the flat Midwest for the mountains.

How do you like your beef? Super Duper Rare? Rare? Medium Rare? Or Well done?

Medium Rare.

Are you a morning person or a night owl?

Neither – I am at my most productive in the middle of the day. I’d sleep until 9 am and go to bed by 11 pm if my schedule would allow it!

Your idea of “bliss” please?

The long hot shower after a long, dusty hike in the mountains! 🙂

Dogs or Cats?

Dogs. I’m VERY allergic to cats. Plus, most cats are jerks.

What’s the funniest noise you’ve ever heard?

Haha! Hmmm….  Here’s something random: In the movie Chicago, Renee Zellwegger makes a funny sound through her teeth and lips. Kind of like a raspberry, but not exactly. For some reason it made my husband and I burst out laughing and play it over several times. Neither of us are able to reproduce that sound.

Ice cream or Gelato?

Ice cream!

What kind of music do you like?

Just about anything but jazz. I’m fond of 80s punk rock and new wave because it takes me back to my college days. No matter what type of music, there’s nothing like going to a live show.

Frank Sinatra or Bobby Darin?

Definitely Bobby Darin.

What would your last meal be?

If you read my blog, you may notice that I seem a little bit obsessed with food, so this is a tough one. The food I crave these days is the Ninja Roll from our local sushi restaurant. I’ll take that and a cold Sapporo beer.
